Leeds, UK / Hyderabad, India – In a bold move to disrupt the telecoms market, BlueCloud Softech Solutions Ltd and BlackDice Cyber Ltd have announced a strategic agreement to deliver AI-driven cybersecurity protection for 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) across India.
The agreement, which integrates the BlackDice Halo technology into BlueCloud’s 5G routers and CPE, will provide built-in protection for millions of subscribers – marking a major step forward in embedding cybersecurity into global connectivity. The partnership validates BlackDice Halo, the company’s newly launched cybersecurity orchestration platform designed for telecom operators and underscores the growing recognition that connectivity must now be ‘secure by design’.
The collaboration supports BlueCloud’s 5G rollout with BSNL across 15 Indian states, covering a potential population of over 500 million people, with the multi-year agreement beginning rollout from mid-January 2026.
Following the announcement, BlueCloud’s share price increased by almost 7%, signalling market confidence in the strategic importance of security-by-design partnerships for the next phase of telecom growth.
“Telcos expanding into the SMB and residential markets are realising that 5G must be secure from the outset,” said Paul Hague, Founder and CEO of BlackDice Cyber.
“Connectivity is going beyond price and speed; it’s about creating subscriber relationships based on value and trust. 5G Fixed Wireless Access is the new battleground, and the BlackDice Halo platform proves its credentials. For operators, this partnership demonstrates how security can become a growth driver, not just a compliance measure.”
Janaki Yarlagadda, Chairman of BlueCloud Softech Solutions, added:
“By combining our edge-AI capabilities with the BlackDice Halo platform, we’re delivering zero-trust protection from the network core to the customer router. This collaboration reflects a shared belief that the future of connectivity is not only faster, but smarter and safer.”
In a market where subscriber churn is rising and average revenue per user (ARPU) is stalling, operators are under pressure to differentiate. Competing on faster speeds or cheaper prices alone is no longer enough – especially as 60% of premium broadband users say they’d switch provider for better online protection (EY, Accenture).
At the same time, cybercrime costs are projected to hit $10.5 trillion globally by the end of 2025 (McKinsey), with attacks increasingly targeting homes and small business networks. Traditional DNS-based security approaches fail to address many of today’s risks, leaving subscribers – and operators’ reputations – exposed.
Recognised by Omdia as a “Challenger” in consumer cybersecurity, BlackDice sees a clear opportunity: to help operators build digital trust directly into their service proposition. Through this partnership, BlueCloud and BlackDice are helping India’s telecom sector deliver on that promise – combining AI-driven edge protection with 5G network innovation to safeguard millions of users across 15 states.
“Telcos are in a unique position to protect subscribers, but until now, the tools have been fragmented and under-leveraged commercially,” said Paul Hague, CEO and Founder of BlackDice Cyber. “Together with BlueCloud, we’re showing that cybersecurity can drive customer loyalty and sustainable growth – helping Indian operators lead with value and trust, not just speed.”
Janaki Yarlagadda, Chairman of BlueCloud Softech Solutions, added: “This collaboration brings together world-class innovation and Indian market experience to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure. It’s a step toward a future where every connection, business or personal, is secure, resilient, and confident.”
With BlueCloud’s 5G leadership and the BlackDice Halo™ platform’s AI-powered edge security, the partnership sets a benchmark for secure-by-design connectivity – supporting India’s ambition for a digitally resilient, self-reliant future.
